At Down Maine Veterinary Clinic, where Cindy has been caring for cats and dogs since 1995, our grooming services are designed to support your pet’s overall wellbeing—from healthy skin and coat care to early detection of lumps, parasites, or problem areas.
Whether your pet needs a fresh bath or a full haircut, our experienced team handles every appointment with patience and compassion—especially when it comes to senior pets, anxious animals, or those with special medical needs. We use gentle, high-quality products and tailor each session to your pet’s coat type, lifestyle, and personality.
Our Grooming Packages
Basic Grooming: Includes a bath, brush out, blow dry, ear cleaning, and nail trim. Great for in-between maintenance or first-time grooming visits.
Tidy-Up Grooming: Includes everything in the Basic Groom, plus light scissor work around the feet, ears, hind end, and tail. Ideal for pets needing a touch-up without a full haircut.
Full Groom: Includes bath, brush out, blow dry, ear cleaning, nail trim, and a full body style clip based on your pet’s breed or your preferences.

Cancellation Policy
At Down Maine Veterinary Clinic, we strive to provide the best care and service for your pets. To help us serve all our clients efficiently, we have the following cancellation and no-show policy in place:
Cancellation & No-Show Policy
- We ask that all grooming appointments be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
- If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice or fail to attend your appointment (no-show), you will be required to pay a deposit equal to 50% of the grooming cost for all future bookings.
Deposit Policy
- The 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking any future appointment if a previous appointment was missed or canceled late.
- This deposit will be credited toward your grooming service on the day of your appointment.
- Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel or no-show again with less than 48 hours notice.
This policy helps ensure we can offer appointments to all our clients in a timely manner. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
