DVM/Owner
Dr. Harmon has been with Down Maine Veterinary Clinic since 2015. He earned an undergraduate degree in German Literature in 2001 and was offered a full scholarship to study abroad, but he pivoted to veterinary medicine and went on to graduate with his DVM degree from Kansas State University in 2005. This shift could be attributed to the fact that both Dr. Harmon’s parents are veterinarians, and he spent many years “volunteering” in veterinary facilities growing up in Andover, Kansas—but whatever the reason, we’re glad it happened. Dr. Harmon is passionate about improving the lives of his patients and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Maine Veterinary Medical Association. His partner, Lindsey, is a flower farmer and stay-at-home mom, and they have three wonderful children: Amelia, Lochlan, and Norah. Dr. Harmon is a history lover and an avid reader and enjoys tinkering and making stuff when he can find a little spare time. His family’s many pets include dogs, cats, horses, goats, ducks, and chickens, and they’ll soon be adding some fish to the menagerie for good measure.
