At Down Maine Veterinary Clinic, we value our clients’ time and aim to provide high-quality care to every patient. In order to best serve all our patients and minimize lost appointment opportunities, we have implemented the following surgical appointment cancellation policy:
Cancellation Policy
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any surgical appointment. This allows us to offer the slot to another patient in need and helps ensure efficient use of our surgical team’s time and resources.
Late Cancellations & Missed Appointments
- If a surgical appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, it will be recorded in your pet’s file as a late cancellation.
- We understand that emergencies happen. We ask that you contact us as soon as possible if you cannot make your scheduled appointment.
Deposit Requirement for Rebooking
After one late cancellation or missed surgical appointment, we require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the estimated procedure cost in order to rebook the surgery.
This deposit will be applied toward the final cost of the procedure on the day of service.
Failure to provide the deposit at the time of rebooking may result in the inability to secure a new surgery appointment.
