Kacey Cooper

Kacey Cooper, DVM, joined Down Maine Veterinary Clinic on June 11, 2024, bringing with her a passion for surgery, internal medicine, and shelter medicine. Growing up in Pelham, NH, Kacey developed a deep love for animals early on, volunteering in shelters from high school through her undergraduate years. She earned her B.S. in Biomedical Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2015 and went on to graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.

Kacey’s extensive experience includes working as a veterinary assistant in a general practice, further solidifying her dedication to animal care. At home, she is the proud pet parent of a lively and diverse animal family, including Potato, an island dog she adopted during vet school, Misty the husky, Crowley the pug, two cats named Chara and Tina, and ten beloved chickens. In her free time, Kacey enjoys reading, playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, and spending time with her feathered companions. She shares her life with her boyfriend, Dr. Andrew Franklin, who is also a veterinarian. Together, they continue to nurture their shared love for animals and veterinary medicine, creating a warm and loving home for their pets.
